Download and Installation

Planet 7 Casino offers downloadable casino gameplay using the Real Time Gaming platform. The download version is available in addition to its instant-play web browser and mobile games. The casino download is for Windows computers only.

At the Planet 7 Casino website you can find the download link at the left side titled Download Client:

Clicking on the Download Client link will automatically start your download. If it doesn’t you can click the provided link to start your download again.

The Planet 7 Casino installer file is named Planet7installer.exe. It will save to your default download folder.

Double click the installer to get started. The installation wizard will guide you though the installation process. Click Next to continue.

As a part of the installation process you will be asked to accept Planet 7 Casino’s terms and conditions.

It’s really important to take the time and review the terms and conditions. They are essentially the legal rules that cover everything you do at the casino from depositing money, redeeming bonuses and cashing out money.

It’s tempting and easy to just check the Accept box and continue the installation but don’t do it. Make sure you understand the terms and conditions.

After reviewing the terms and conditions you’ll set some final options before the installation wizard finishes the install process. You can create a desktop shortcut, create a start menu item and start the casino when your computer starts.

The installation will continue after clicking Next.

Once the installation wizard finishes, you’ll be given the option to open the casino software. You’ll want to check this box so you can get started with new account registration.

Scan the QR code with your Ewallet software to initiate your transfer.

Click Check Status to make sure the transaction was initiated and to let Planet 7 Casino know that your money is on the way.

The lobby is where you’ll be able to see all the games and navigate through the casino. The games are all found on the grey bar. Planet 7 Casino offers Table Games, Slots, Video Poker, Specialty and Live Dealer games. I’ve sampled some of these to give you an example of what you can expect out of your casino download gameplay experience.

Table Games

The first menu is Table Games. Table games include 21 Games (Blackjack), Tri Card Poker, Vegas Three Card Rummy, Baccarat, and War.

You’ll see that some of the Table Games are locked. This is because these games are not eligible to play with bonus money.

All of the Table Games are video games and not Live Dealer Games. The 21 Games are all one-on-one video games like Suit ‘Em Up Blackjack .

Slots

Clicking on the Slots menu will display all the available slots games. The menu displays the Slots games by different categories.

Floating Symbols, Video Slots, 3 Reel, Bonus Round and 6 Reel slots games are sub-menu options.

Planet win poker mobile

Bonkers is a 3 Reel slot game. You can see that it’s modeled after an old school slot machine. The minimum bet for 3 Reel slots is $1.

Double Ya Luck is a 3 Reel slot that plays on 3 lines. The layout of this game was confusing and it wasn’t apparently clear where the paylines could be viewed. I didn’t enjoy this game all that much.

Builder Beaver is the Game of the Month at Planet 7 Casino. It is a video slot game that plays on 25 lines and features free game and random jackpot bonuses throughout game play.

Video Poker

The Video Poker menu also displays games by category. The sub-menus display the games by the maximum number of hands that can be played per round. You can play games from one hand to one hundred hands at a time.

Just like the 3 Reel slot games, Deuces Wild is a one hand video poker game that looks like an old school video poker machine. I love the nostalgic look of this game.

I don’t know how anyone can keep track of 100 hands but Double Double Bonus Poker is an example of what 100 hands looks like. I must admit that it was fun to try this game out, especially when dealt a winning hand.

Specialty

Specialty games are categorized by the type of game. Table Games are listed here but these aren’t the same table games as the ones shown in the Table Games menu. Scratch Cards, Keno, Bingo, Board Games and Shooting Games are available to play in the Specialty menu.

Bonus Bingo is one of several specialty Bingo games offered. In Bonus Bingo you can play four cards at once. Bonus Balls are highlighted in green on your bingo cards and bingo balls are marked off with red Xs on your card.

Scratch card games are just like lotto scratch cards without the mess. For the Lucky 8’s Scratch Card game just match one of your numbers to the Winning Numbers at the right side to win.

The multiplier listed below your number is how much you multiply your bet by to determine how much you won.

Banana Jones is a specialty board game. You have 5 dice rolls to get Banana Jones to the finish. Along the way you can win money by landing on bonus spin spots.

Live Dealer Games

Planet 7 Casino offers Live Dealer Blackjack and Roulette games Live Dealer games are not eligible to be played with bonus money only.

Blackjack HD tables have a $10 minimum bet and a $500 maximum bet. Blackjack Early Payout games have tables with a $10-$500 limit, $25-$1000 limit or $50-$2500 limit.

Both American and European Roulette Live Dealer games have $1-$100 limit, $5-$500 limit and $5-$1000 limit tables.

Great Casino But Found a Better No Deposit Bonus Code

I downloaded Planet 7 Casino, was very impressed, software is great and game selection is awesome. However, this review mentions the promo code TRYPLANET7 but I found a much better one - FALL285 - which offers a $285 no deposit bonus, lol much better than the $100. Google it for yourself. Either way, good casino and I recommend it!

Planet Poker was the first real-money cardroom for playing online poker, opening in 1998.[1][2]

History[edit]

The pioneer[edit]

Without an existing model to follow, Planet Poker founder Randy Blumer was entering uncharted territory. During the initial launch and testing phases in late 1997, Planet Poker started to build a customer base, placing advertisements in Card Player magazine.[1] By the time the first real money table opened, a handful of customers were ready to play.

On 1 January 1998, after several months of planning and preparation, Planet Poker dealt a $3–$6 game of Texas hold 'em poker. As days turned to weeks, the small group of customers began to grow and the poker games started to run longer. Sometime in February 1998, a game continued through the night with enough players rotating in and out the game that it carried all the way through to the next evening.[citation needed] It was one of the major milestones in the history of online poker.

By the early summer of 1998, Planet Poker had amassed a following, and games regularly ran around the clock. Game selection was increased to meet the demand of the steady stream of new players. For the remainder of 1998, Planet Poker continued to grow, but as with any rapidly growing business, new challenges emerged. Credit card payments were accepted to allow customers an easy means of getting money into and out of the game. However, by far the largest challenges were technical in nature, and problems often required days to fully resolve. The Internet itself was in its infancy and was often plagued by geographic outages and poor connections. Nearly all the players were using dial-up Internet access.[3]

Technical problems were further compounded by the growing demand for more features and enhancements. The site lacked many of the necessary playing features, and the backend capability did not adequately manage the cardroom. Planet Poker assembled an in-house team to address the backend issues, but the playing features were more of a challenge.

An early Planet Poker lobby

Implementation of new playing features required changes to the core game software and Planet had to rely on the third-party supplier to make them. Recognizing the importance of getting these features in place, agreements were renegotiated with the supplier that provided the software provider with generous payments to implement needed changes. However, the software supplier had mixed business interests, and the pace of developing the changes was less than required to keep pace with the evolving online poker industry.[4] Maintaining a relationship with the software supplier soon became a time consuming effort that diverted resources from other aspects of the business.[citation needed]

Competition arrives[edit]

Then in 1999, without advance notice, a new cardroom called Paradise Poker emerged.[3][5] Coincidentally, in the week that Paradise Poker launched, Planet Poker was plagued with technical problems that led to several days of downtime. By the time Planet Poker recovered, Paradise had established a foothold, and the online poker industry got its first taste of competition.

Almost overnight, Paradise Poker attained instant success, and its customer base soon surpassed Planet’s, despite Planet’s growth continuing at a record pace. In a few short months, the number of concurrent players at peak times grew from 400 at Planet to 1500 at Planet and Paradise combined, with Paradise emerging as the clear industry leader[3] with superior features and improved stability.

Planet staff recognized that it would take time to catch up to Paradise Poker on the technical front. Planet focused on providing the highest level of integrity and security for their customers.[1]Mike Caro was engaged as one of the most respected, recognized names in poker to guide and represent Planet Poker’s operation. The 'mad genius of poker' provided instant credibility to Planet Poker and the online poker industry as a whole.[1]Roy Cooke also joined the Planet team, as the cardroom manager.

By early 2000, the capability gap between Planet Poker and Paradise Poker was continuing to widen. A new company, Acekicker.com Holdings Inc., was formed to develop software for Planet Poker. Based on Planet’s operational experience, a set of requirements was formulated that would allow Planet to re-capture the number one position in the industry. AceKicker’s initial efforts were plagued by issues with an offshore software developer, and the development of the software was delayed. By the time the issues were resolved and the development was moved to Canada, there were several new well-funded entrants in the online poker industry, and Planet was chasing a moving target. Most of Planet’s financial resources were diverted to software development. Planet now lacked the funding and expertise to compete with the industry giants in marketing. Planet would not launch its new system until 2004 and by this time, Party Poker dominated the industry, with a handful of rivals clustered near second place.

From 2002 onward, Planet Poker remained a steady fixture as the industry evolved. Many new poker rooms came and went. There was continuing explosive growth in the number of online poker players, but while Planet still retained a loyal customer base, it could never seem to increase its critical mass to a point where it could compete with the larger sites. Planet Poker would peak at around 1200 players, while other cardrooms were setting new daily records that would eventually exceed 100,000. Planet Poker continued on as a small cardroom, with its friendly atmosphere as the primary attraction.

Legislation[edit]

In September 2006, the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA) in the U.S. changed the legal landscape for the industry. By the time the act was passed, Planet Poker had registered over three quarters of a million customers. In response to the UIGEA, however, Planet Poker suspended real money operations in March 2007. Planet Poker previously operated as a free play (subscription based) poker site through 2007-2017.

Ceasing Operations[edit]

Planet Poker ceased operations in 2017.
