Poker Etiquette

Etiquette is a set of requirements of behavior in any society. Poker society is also social, so it has some unwritten rules. Etiquette allows society to exist more comfortably and smoothens all the angles of strictly defined rules. More to that, there are plenty of rules in poker that should not exist at all. Not all the people abide etiquette. Poker etiquette is the glue that holds it all together. Poker etiquette has nothing to do with strategy or how best to play your cards. It has everything to do with how you conduct yourself at the tables. These loose “rules” apply to live poker, and often online poker too. Let’s take a look.

Poker etiquette isn’t just about what you should do, but it’s also about what you should NOT do. The following points are the top five taboos that you should avoid at the poker table, and again these are in no particular order. Revealing Your Cards During a Hand. Poker Etiquette in Live Games. While there aren’t too many poker etiquette rules for online games, things change quite considerably when you start playing live. If you want to be a fair and square player, you need to follow proper manners at the table. Thou shalt practice good personal hygiene. Is anything more important than this fundamental.
