What Are Progressive Knockout Tournaments?
Progressive Knockout tournaments take traditional bounty tournaments and up the stakes. For example, in a normal $20 knockout tournament, $10 would go to the prize pool and $10 would go to the bounty. Knocking out a player would result in $10 added to any prize you cash for.
Never bluff against someone who has you covered. Remember the golden rule: most players are. Progressive knockout tournaments, also known as PKOs or Bounty Builders, have a clever structure which ensures the bounty values increase as the tournament stacks and pot sizes also increase. When you knock out an opponent, you only get half of their bounty as a prize and the other half is added to your own bounty. In a $20 Progressive Knockout tournament, $10 would go to the prize pool, and $10 goes to the bounty. However, when you knock someone out of the tournament, instead of getting the full $10, you get half that amount, or $5. The other $5 now gets added to your own bounty, making it now worth $15.
Should someone take you out, the process repeats itself. They’ll pocket $7.50 (half the current bounty), and the other $7.50 gets added to their head. By the end of a tournament, a single player’s bounty could even be worth more than the remaining prize pool, creating an exciting dynamic at the final table.
The series features something for players of all bankroll sizes, starting with buy-ins at just 52 cents and ranging up to $525 for the high rollers. And as always, BetOnline features a zero rake policy on bounty prize money!
As you play events, you will collect points towards the King of the Ring leaderboard, which awards various cash prizes depending on your level of weight class (buy-in).
